We have signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with Doosan Enerbility
South Korea's Doosan, a global manufacturer of steam turbines, smart machines and semiconductors, presented significant investments in the Czech economy at the Czech-Korean Industrial Partnership Day "Doosan Partnership Day" in Prague in mid-May. At the same time, Doosan signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with our company, which sets out the basic scope of possible ZAT supplies in the event of KHNP's success in the tender for the completion of the Dukovany NPP.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of our company by Jaroslav Scharf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ZAT a.s.
Doosan Concern is one of the world's leading manufacturers of turbines in the nuclear and conventional power industry. "As a strong partner of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, we are coming to the Czech Republic to support its activities in the tender for the completion of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant. If it wins this important contract for the Czech and Korean industry, the turbine for the secondary island, one of the main facilities of the nuclear power plant, will be supplied by the Czech company Doosan Škoda Power. This will significantly contribute to the Czech government's intention to involve local companies in the completion of new nuclear power plants," said Jeongwon Park, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Doosan Group.
In addition, Doosan Enerbility presented its plan to move to Pilsen key know-how in the production of air-cooled generators with an output of up to 300 MW and the development and production of gas and hydrogen turbine technologies that will help the Czech Republic become a major European player in the segment of carbon-free energy production.
At the gala evening, cooperation agreements were signed between Doosan Enerbility Nuclear Business Group, Doosan Enerbility Power Service Business Group and the Czech companies ZAT, Vítkovice, Škoda JS and MICO.
