We signed a strategic agreement with Doosan Enerbility to cooperate on nuclear contracts
The Agreement on strategic cooperation of the two companies was signed by its representatives as part of the upcoming tender for the construction of a new nuclear source at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant. They also discussed possible cooperation in the construction of other nuclear sources not only in the Czech Republic.
"We have one of the most modern control systems on the market, which is currently deployed in 43 nuclear power plant units in the world. Signing a strategic agreement with a supplier of security systems for the company KHNP is another important step for us towards the realization of deliveries of the Czech control system to the domestic market," says Ivo Tichý, a member of the ZAT a.s. Board of Directors.
On behalf of Doosan Enerbility, Seongtae Kim, Director of the nuclear division I&С, confirmed the contract with his signature, and on behalf of the Czech side, Jaroslav Scharf, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Vladislava Česáková and Ivo Tichý, members of the ZAT Board of Directors.
Doosan Enerbility is a leading supplier of safety, safety related and non-safety systems for KHNP, which is one of the three applicants for the construction of a new nuclear power plant in the Czech Republic.
ZAT has long-term cooperation with the Doosan group on contracts in the nuclear and conventional energy sectors. The company supplied Czech control systems for projects implemented by Doosan ŠKODA Power in, for example, the Czech Republic, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Botswana, but also in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Georgia, Great Britain, Cuba and other countries.
