We have commissioned new testers and automated testing workplace
ZAT invests €1.5 million annually in development. We have now completed a two-year project to develop testers and automated testing workplaces which are designed primarily for large production orders, such as projects in the nuclear power industry. By using automated tests and automated logging the results in an internal database, we have once again increased the efficiency of testing our products. The new testers are deployed in the testing room of the Industrial Electronics Division at the ZAT production in Příbram.
The challenge in their development was to process a high number of tested components exceeding 12 000 pieces. In terms of internal production of the SandRA control system, this is the largest order ever implemented.
The main benefits of automated testing include:
- significantly higher efficiency of product testing (time savings)
- lower demands on the expertise of testers and workstations
- maximum reduction of human error during testing
- automatic creation of a test report
