At the WNE trade fair in Paris, we negotiated with all bidders for the completion of the Dukovany NPP in the Czech Republic
At the end of November, the traditional nuclear power event WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition) took place in Paris. This year's event was exceptional from the Czech point of view because the largest Czech companies with nuclear know-how negotiated with the bidders for the completion of the NPP in the Czech Republic about their specific involvement in the completion of the Dukovany NPP.
The Czech Power Industry Alliance, of which ZAT is a founding member, signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation with EDF at the event. The document was signed in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Transport Jozef Síkela, who stressed the importance of the involvement of the Czech industry in the completion of new nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic.
Ivo Tichý, Executive Director, Vladislava Česáková, Member of the Board of Directors, and František Kural, Sales and Marketing Director, attended the fair on behalf of ZAT. During the three days, the company's management held talks with representatives of key companies in the nuclear power sector, such as Westinghouse, KHNP, EDF, Gifen, GE Steam Power, Engie, Wikow, Atech, PPA Controll, ESG, VF Montenegro, as well as with representatives of the French-Czech Chamber of Commerce.
"At the meeting with EDF representatives, interest in completing the audit was confirmed for the supply of safety systems in our company, which is another important step towards ZAT's involvement in EDF's supply chain within their contracts," says Ivo Tichý. This spring, ZAT passed EDF's first demanding audit and is listed as one of EDF's qualified suppliers for the supply of non-safety systems.
According to Ivo Tichý, ZAT intends to deliver about 60 percent of the order volume for the fifth unit of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant in the supply of control and management systems (CCS).
"ZAT is perceived by all bidders in the tender for the completion of the NPP in the Czech Republic as an important partner in the field of control systems. The negotiations at the fair also confirmed our important position with other companies that supply the nuclear power industry and can bring us business opportunities in other locations," adds František Kural.
